2024 National Cancer Institute Junior Investigator Meeting
August 22 – August 23, 2024
Natcher Conference Center Hybrid Bethesda, Maryland
The 2024 National Cancer Institute (NCI) Junior Investigator Meeting is a free two-day hybrid meeting that aims to provide opportunities for junior scientists (late-stage graduate students, postdocs, and early career faculty) to meet fellow researchers, showcase their work, foster collaborations, and generate synergy between individuals with diverse skills and shared research interests.
With the collaborative effort of several NCI program groups, the event provides attendees with keynote lectures, panel discussions, and workshops. There will also be oral talks and poster presentations by the trainees. In the special session titled “NCI SBIR: Small Business Transition Grant Info Session” on Thursday, August 22, 2024, at 12:00 p.m. ET, NCI SBIR program directors Jonathan Franca-Koh and Linda Zane will be presenting attendees an overview of the NCI SBIR funding opportunity, Small Business Transition Grant. With their presentation, they invite a Small Business Transition Grant awardee to share their insights with the audience. On Friday, August 23, 2024, at 12:00 p.m. ET, attendees can visit and talk to the program directors at the NCI CB/IT Data Science Training Resources Programming Booths about funding opportunities and resources that would support academic innovators aiming to commercialize their cancer technology.
